I received my Ph.D. in Psychological & Brain Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis in 2023, where I worked with Joshua Jackson. While in graduate school, I primarily used nationally representative longitudinal panel datasets from several countries to examine long-term personality development, different ways that personality changes, and how to best use personality to prospectively predict important life outcomes.

After my Ph.D., I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zürich, working in the Individual Differences & Assessment Lab led by Wiebke Bleidorn. Here, I largely focused on short-term change and dynamics within the context of personality interventions; namely, what leads to successful change and how these mechanisms unfold across various timescales.

In August 2026, I joined the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University as an assistant professor (gig 'em!). At Texas A&M, I plan to continue examining personality change across short-term (momentary, hourly), medium-term (weekly, monthly), and long-term (annually, multiannually) timescales; how personality expressions and environmental transactions differ across these timescales; how changes across timescales relate to one another; and what different metrics of personality expressions at these timescales uniquely predict.

I am recruiting graduate students that are interested in examining personality and other individual differences; understanding why people think, feel, and behave the way they do; and how/why personality changes (or doesn't change!) over time.
